Author Biography

Margot Mellet, Université de Sherbrooke

Margot Mellet is an assistant professor in the Department of Arts, Languages and Literature at the University of Sherbrooke and is head of graduate programmes in publishing at the Longueuil campus. She is also a co-researcher at the Groupe de recherches et d'études sur le livre au Québec(GRÉLQ, University of Sherbrooke). Active in publishing, she is the director of the ‘De code et de plomb’ collection at Presses universitaires de Rouen et du Havre and editor of the humanities and social sciences journal Sens public. Her current research focuses on the links between publishing and digital culture, emerging writing practices in literature, and issues of recognition for publishing practitioners in the production of knowledge in the humanities. She holds a PhD in research-creation in French-language literature from the University of Montreal. Her thesis, defended in 2024, explored the materiality of writing in a cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary manner, examining in particular the page, the media and the machine.
