S'inspirant de l'appel de Pendakis et Wilson (2012) à "voir, citer et situer" le pétrole, nous examinons dans cette pièce comment les interventions dans la pratique matérielle artistique peuvent offrir des modes complémentaires, et parfois tout à fait uniques, d'engagement avec les matérialités du pétrole et des pétro-médias. En nous appuyant sur les conversations de ces dernières années, nous faisons particulièrement référence à Oil Topography (2014), une tapisserie jacquard tissée à la main et produite par Ruth Beer.Références
